- One of a group of drawings by Paton formerly in the John Christian collection. Variation in style, medium and support suggests that these drawings were produced over a significant period of time, the earliest dated drawing in the collection is from 1847 and the latest 1884.

- One of 42 drawings by Sir Joseph Noel Paton and 2 by Waller Hugh Paton from the John Christian collection. See 2019.7015.452- 2019.7015.495. This is likely to be one of the drawings that John Christian purchased from Alec Stirling in winter 2001-2002.
