This print is listed in the IFF catalogue (No. 33.3.) However it appears that the Bibliothèque Nationale collection does not include an impression of this print in the 4th state.
Elizabeth Harvey Lee's sale catalogue No. 54, 'Winter Selection' 2013 states that Daubigny issued his first album in 1851 consisting of two series each of six plates. Each series ran to eleven issues prior to Daubigny's death in 1878.
The early states of these etchings are, prior to printing by Beillet or Delâtre are rare. (The plates are in the collection of the Chalcographie du Louvre.)

- John Christian purchased the print from the Elizabeth Harvey-Lee and retained the invoice dated 26.11.13 which provides the following information:
"Les Bords du Cousin, Delteil 69, iv/ vii
Original etching 1850
4th state of 7 having had the cows and two figures carrying hay largely effeaced. Lacking the plate signature (or masked?)
Before Delâtre's address.
Very rare in this state.
The plate number "3" [pencilled in at the top right] impressed in the succeeding state) On chine appliqué.
Ex collection Philippe Burty (Lugt 413) 650."
