- Curator's comments
- This sixth edition was printed probably posthumously in 1920 from steel-faced plates in a run of 50. The series was designed from 1880-1887. The plates were steel-faced for the second edition of 1903. The plates for the whole series are preserved in the Museum der bildende Künste, Leipzig.
