- The process of galvanography, an intaglio method of producing prints to give the appearance of wash drawings, was devised by Pocci's contemporary in Munich, Franz Kobell, see dealer's catalogue, Arsène Bonafous-Murat, Paris, June 2012, no. 56 (E. M. Harris, 'Journal of the Printing Historical Society, no. 6, 1970, part V, p.70 and 79; Schaar 6). Listed in M. Bernhard, (ed.)'Franz Graf von Pocci: die gesamte Druckgraphik', Munich, 1974, p.651 under single-sheet etchings (as 'Alchimist' 1840).
