- Chaloner Smith notes thtat this is similar in reverse direction to a print by William Humphrey (CS 20), published by Humphrey on 1st June 1774. The latter, he suggests, might be a double portrait of the Cosways though, as Daniell notes, this is unlikely given that they only married six years later. An impression is recorded which is annotated with the name Mr. & Mrs. Burke.
