Charles I standing beside the great oak tree outside a farmhouse where he receives hospitality from the farmer and his daughters, while he looks at a map laid on the table, with Montague Bertie standing on his right, and Prince Rupert seated to the left, with other attendants behind him to the right, one holding the standard eyeing the daughter who brings a tray with plates, while the young princes Charles and James play with a spaniel on the left: open-letter state. 1852
