One of a number of plates by Walker which are listed in a catalogue of a sale at Sotheby's, 29/11/1822: 'Mezzotinto Plates by Mr. Walker, Engraver to the Emperor Alexander, together with the remaining impressions of the copperplates which were lost.'. A plate of Suvarov, and others were 'never before published.'. Walker also engraved a full-length portrait of Suvarov (2010,7081.3500)
