The Virgin sitting on the left at the foot of a fluted column, with her breast visible beneath a gauzy cloth, holding the infant Jesus on her lap and St. Joseph standing next to them holding a staff and leaning towards her solicitously, while St Ann kneels on the ground before them supporting St John the Baptist, who holds out an apple to the Christ-Child; with a large house, mountains and trees in the background to right; after Niccolo dell'Abbate.
