Satire; a clergyman caricatured as a pigeon; perched on a stand in profile to right, looking up towards a window, gesticulating and holding an open book inscribed 'A / Funeral Sermon / on the / Political Death / of the Rev.d / John Horne / Vicar of New Brentford // Gay Clothing / Rioting / Electioneering / Devil enter'd // [...] // Bishops / Lying'; a devil supports the plinth on which he stands and another uses a pair of bellows under his tail; the congregation sits behind to left, some sleeping.
