This is Ulrike von Hase - Schmundt, 'Capogrossi. Das graphische Werk', St Gallen, 1982, p.10 (1). It is one of Capogrossi's first abstract prints done in 1950. He did three with Stamperia del Cavallino which were published by Edizioni del Cavallino. It may not be the first of these three, although placed first in the catalogue. There was an edition of 200 signed and numbered 1-200, and of 50 signed and numbered 1-50, and marked f.g.
Capogrossi had done 11 figurative lithographs in the album 'Donne' printed by Vincenzo Bullo in Rome and published jointly by Documento Editore and Libreria La Margherita in Rome in 1944. Somewhat bizarrely these are the last numbers in von Hase- Schmundt 111-122; perhaps she only found out about these when she was at proof stage. The print does not appear to have a title and is just listed as 1 in the numerical sequence.
