- Curator's comments
- Terry Frost moved to Leeds in 1954 as a Gregory Fellow in painting at the university and subsequently taught at Leeds School of Art. This work was the result of an exercise he put to architectural students about how to separate cooking from eating areas; according to Frost the students came up with "the same old fucking rubber plants" so he produced his own design. Illustrated on p.65 of 'Terry Frost' by David Lewis, Scholar Press, 1994.
