Lega's two variant etchings of the same seated female figure were his only futurist prints. The dissolution of the figure into intersecting planes is deeply indebted to Cubism.
According to S Bartolini, 'Achille Lega, l'opera incisa' (Reggio Emilia 1980, tav.XXXV), this plate was issued in very limited numbers, occasionally signed and never numbered.
