- Curator's comments
- Artist's statement (2002); "These drawings ['blush', 'GREEDI', 'LABEL' and 'needle'] with watercolour were made in the winter of 2001/2. They are part of a larger series of drawings made between 1999 and 2002, which relate to a body of work called 'How the West has Won and Lost'. The drawings are sometimes made to figure out how a painting or sculpture might go. Sometimes I make drawings of larger pieces as [a] way to plan an exhibition. Having all the works in miniature makes the process of selecting works and positioning pieces easier to play around with.
I like to use watercolour very much, because you get such big results from such small materials"
