Pen and black ink, brush and brown wash, over black chalk on paper laid onto old mount decorated with gold, blue and blue-grey wash borders and inscribed with the artist's name and dates

- Study for an illustration to a scene in Ariosto's "Orlando Furioso", Canto XVII, engraved by N. de Launay for the edition published by Pietro and Giovanni Claudio Molini and printed by George Baskerville, Birmingham, 1773. Two related drawings are at Windsor Castle, published by A. Blunt, "The French Drawings at Windsor Castle", 1945, nos. 331, 332, plate 127.
