- This is similar in style to the drypoint illustrations Possoz made to Valery Larbaud's "Caderno" published by Au Sans Pareil, Paris in 1927. The Portuguese printmaker Bartolomeu dos Santos, who was a neighbour and friend of Possoz, has confirmed that this is a view of Sintra, where the artist lived following her return from Paris (letter to Frances Carey, 28 April 1998, P&D files).
