- Curator's comments
- Edouard Bouvenne prepared the colour models on the 'sur blanc' impressions of Daumier's lithographic series which the professional colourists then followed. This example and 1998,0215.6 and 7 were selected by the vendor from an album of such colour models that had recently been broken up on the Paris market.
