- The Abbott & Holder label on the verso of the frame was inscribed "Robert Smirke R.A. 1752-1845 'The artist's sons, Robert Smirke Jur and Richard Smirke'. Provenance: a group of drawings many of which we identified as for specific prints and all by Robert Smirke. (Richard Godfrey)"
