Portrait of Sir Francis Drake, half -length, in an oval lettered with the title, slightly turned to the left, with a neat beard and moustache, in armour etched with curling foliage and flowers with a decorative satyr's head at the centre of the breast-plate, the pauldron formed as a lion's head with open mouth, a sash over his shoulder and wearing a lace collar over his gorget, a large shield with floral rivets to the right, decorated with a naval engagement; after Rabel Engraving with etching
