- This drawing was presented by the artist with a group of others in memory of his friendship with the artist and dealer Helen Lessore (1907-1994), with whom he often used to visit the BM. Lessore gave Kossoff his first one-man exhibition in 1957 at the Beaux-Arts Gallery which she ran from 1952-65.
