- This drawing and the others with which it was purchased, were part of a larger group of around 60 works bought by Alec Stirling in 1992 from a dealer who had purchased them from Wilfred Roberts, the grandson of the artist. Others from this group have been purchased by the NPG and the Fitzwilliam.
