Two popular prints printed on one sheet from a single plate: on the left, Charlotte Corday stabs Marat who portrayed as far smaller than his assailant, behind them is a heraldic device with the fleur-de-lis of France behind which have been placed a cockerel and a liberty bonnet; on the right, Charlotte Corday, again portrayed as extremely tall, is standing on the scaffold in front of guillotine holding a book in her right hand; soldiers in the foreground, crowds of spectators in the background. 1793

These prints appeared three months after the events and demonstrate the widespread English interest in the French Revolution.
