Wrapper of ten wood-engravings after Frederick Sandys, illustrations fromt 'Once a A Week' (1861-1862) and 'English Sacred Poetry' (1863); depicting two male figures, one wearing a hooded cloak, the other a laurel wreath; Queen Rosamond of the Lombard kneeling to kiss a skull; a man leaning on a plinth by a river; Zeus seated on throne, kneeling figures around him and an irradiated figure in background; a man wearing ruff hands jug to a child, talks to a man in a cloak; a valkyrie wrapped in a cloak with raven; King Warwolf in flaming boat, sword to his chest; gladiator, standing over slain should, holding axe, with lion; female figure kneeling in a churchyard digging a grave; man picking up body of child found in wooded area near cottage; on mounted card.
