- Curator's comments
- The publication line states that Dembour is the successor of Lacour. Dembour had bought up the stock of Lacour in 1835, hence the print has to be 1835 or later.
The image may be in fact a lithograph, trying to appear like a traditional woodcut. However, the lines are very fluid and have a drawn quality. Additionally, Dembour produced lithographs.
