Curator's comments: Allen Jones wrote to Frances Carey on 28/2/91 describing his working method. "The 'storyboard' method I favour for producing ideas often means that a picture results many months, sometimes a year or two, after the sheet of drawings has been finished. These sheets have not been dated or signed because they are still alive - or were until I can tear myself away from them".
