Oliver Simon (editor), "Signature", New Series, No. 9, 1949; containing examples of French typography from the Imprimerie Nationale including reproduction of a page in "Grandjean" with vignette by Steinlen and line-block reproduction of a design by Jaugeon for the construction of roman capitals, fold-out with illustrations by Robert Medley, Brian Robb and Edward Adizzone, and 13 wood-engraved vignettes by Thomas Bewick and workshop printed from the original blocks (in the possession of Barbara Bingley) with half-tone reproductions of related sketches by Gregory Way. With essays by Linda Ritson, H. S. Williamson, Barbara Bingley, and H. P. Schmoller.
