Drawn directly on to the copper plate from a sequence of photographs in Muybridge's 'The Human Figure in Motion'.
One of a series of works produced between 1953 and 1954 in which Hamilton explored the difference between Cubism and Futurism, or the depiction of a still object from various viewpoints as opposed to an object or sitter depicted in motion but seen from a static viewpoint.
