Geronima Parasole, who died in 1622, must have been related in some way to the woodcutter Leonardo Parasole. Nagler thought that Leonardo had taken on the name Parasole from his wife Isabella, but this has been shown to be wrong (Nagler, 1858-79, I, no.2244; see now Masetti Zannini, 1980, pp.214-216). Leonardo who died in 1612, had three brothers; Geronima could have been a wife of one of his brothers or an unmarried daughter of any of the four of them.
