- This thesis was only known to Bodart (see Bodart 2) through the reference in Gori Gandellini, III 1791, p.361 (2nd ed. 1808, p.298), and the painted copy in Liverpool (Foreign Cat. 1977 p.227). This impression was acquired by the BM later, and seems to be the only known impression of one of Westerhout's masterpieces. Later in 1717, when Czaki was created a cardinal, Westerhout engraved a portrait of him (Bodart 214). This was never paid for, and in his will in 1725, Westerhout bequeathed the debt to his local parish church, S. Andrea delle Fratte.
