For the Members of the Royal Association for the Promotion of the Fine Arts in Scotland" 1882; containing a frontispiece heliogravure showing Meg Dods after George Reid, and 5 further prints after various artists illustrating excerpts and places from Walter Scott's novel, including "Shaws Castle (Traquair House), with Gateway", "Meeting of Tyrrel and Miss Mowbray", "Captian MacTurk, Sir Bingo Binks, Winterblossom, and Dr. Quackleben, Waiting for Tyrrel", "Meg Dods Arriving in her 'Whiskey' at the Lawyer's", and "Mr. Touchwood Introduces Himself to the Rev. W. Cargill in His Study". Bound together with letterpress titlepage printed with wood-engraved vignette showing St. Ronan's Village, and list of engravings. In original brown cloth boards with gold-tooled title.
