- After a painting formerly in the collection of Constantine Alexander Ionides, who bought it from Christie's (27 May 1882) and bequeathed it to the Victoria & Albert Museum in 1900. See Pierre Rosenberg, 'Tout l'oeuvre peint des frères Le Nain', Paris, 1993, page 83, No.41.
The painting is still at the Victoria & Albert Museum, where it is catalogued as 'probably by Louis le Nain'.
