A book containing the complete illustrations to The Epping Hunt; consisting of six scenes; the first; a portrait of Thomas Rounding, seated by a side table with his glass and decanter, dressed in hunting clothes, surrounded by a frame with the heads of foxes, deer, and dogs; the second; a hunter clinging to the branch of a tree, having been knocked off his horse by the latter, the horse galloping to the left, his hat in the ditch below him; the third; a hunter mounted on his horse, turning in alarm to find the stag behind him, the animal with flowers round its neck and horns, an observer laughing in a tree beyond and other hunters galloping up to the chase in the distance; the fourth; hunters jumping over a hedge, one looking down to where one of their compnay rolls in the thorns, having been thrown from his horse, hounds in chase to the left; the fifth; a hunter on his hands and knees, his horse with its hind legs stuck on a five-bar gate and biting its master, the chase beyond; the sixth; a ragged and muddy hunter being cleaned with mops and brooms by the ostlers, the other huntsmen looking on and laughing; illustrations to Hood's "The Epping Hunt" (1828)
