Several sacred animals; from top to bottom; an embalmed snake in a casket, a carved representation of the animal in life on top; two desiccated and mummified snakes curled together; a mummified jackal, a mummified bull; the head of a mummified animal, with large horns or ears; a god with the head of a baboon (possibly Thoth or Hapi) seated on a plinth, his hands on his knees and with a curling tail; a mummified cat; a mummified crocodile wrapped in bandages; a desiccated and embalmed baby crocodile, linen wrapped around the base of its tail; illustration to Pettigrew's "A History of Egyptian Mummies and an Acount of the Worship and Embalming of the Sacred Animals by the Egyptians" (1834)
