- Curator's comments
- See Curator's Comment to 1978,1216.14(1-172). These drawings, executed on different paper to the sheets in 1978,1216.14, together with various prints (1978,1216.25...31, 34, 55, 56) were inserted in the Pocket Book by an artist or collector/s at some stage/s during its history, so that they formed part of the acquisition in 1978.
1978,1216.41, together with 1978,1216.42 and 1978,1216.43, are all by the same hand, which evidently belongs to someone working in the circle of Virgil Solis (q.v.; cf. O'Dell-Franke, pl. 52, f. 1).
