This sketch is similar in composition to 1972,U.563 drawn on fine tracing paper and mounted.
The annotations suggest that this is an initial sketch. However, the thin paper suggests that it may have been traced from an earlier freehand sketch.
These drawings appear to have been studies for an oil painting 'A Fairy Ring' 1856 (The British Institution).
