Four sheets of studies/ tracings for 'George Cruikshank's Table Book.':
Reid 4128. Two studies of illustrations to 'The Legend of the Rhine.' The combat between Sir Ludwig and Sir Gottfried and the old hermit raving in excitement and 4129. 'The hermit of Rolandseek and the knight, after the combat, entering the courtyard of the Castle of Godesberg in triumph.' Both on the same sheet with two studies of coats of arms.
Reid 4138. A study for an illustration to 'The Legend of the Rhine.' Otto springing from the boat and making his escape by diving to Cologne.
Reid 4133 'The preservation of life. Fire escapes.' (1) Showing the means of escape to the next house. Reid 4136, The preservation of life. Fire escapes.' (2) Chinese life preservers formed like a triangular seat. Reid 4132 'The stage Prince.' All three studies on the same sheet.
Reid 4139. A study for an illustration to 'The Legend of the Rhine.' Otto performing his watch and half sleeping for a moment, thinking he sees a woman in white beckoning him from the room. With head studies (one in red tone) on the same sheet.

The studies are on a small scale similar to that of the printed illustrations. The sheets are irregular in size and shape with illustrations on the same sheet facing in different directions.
