- This drawing is in Volume I of the Third Series of Downman's 'First Sketches of Portraits of distinguished persons'. For further details see 1936,1116.27.1.
An inscription under the study (not in Downman's hand) notes that,"there is a picture of this lady in a similar costume in West Horsley House (?) [barely legible]."
Millar notes that 'their' presumably refers to Miss Currie and Mr William Currie in 1967,1014.181-11 and -12.
