- According to Milner, in the Eton College collection there is a watercolour that appears to be preparatory for this sheet, entitled 'On the Wye at Mocca's' (see: Barbara Milner, 'Thomas Hearne, 1744-1817: A catalogue of his watercolours and drawings in the British Museum', unpublished typescript (MA report for Courtauld Institute), 1983, no.30). Hearne exhibited two views of Moccas Park at the Royal Academy in 1789-90 (see: 'Thomas Hearne 1744-1817: watercolours and drawings', Bolton Museum and Art Gallery exhibition catalogue, 1985, no.61).
