Book containing 29 prints of figures wearing Swiss costumes, with a frontispiece, and a title-page with a vignette; bound in red leather pasted with orange paper, with gold stamping, and the title on the front cover, Zurich
Aquatints, with hand-colouring, individually titled as follows:
1) Frontispiece with the flags of the Swiss cantons arranged to a circle; the coat of arms of Switzerland within this circle which is inserted in a quadrat with gothic-like ornaments; the quadrat enclosed by 22 fields with figures wearing costumes in the colours of the coats of arms of the cantons; titled underneath 'Le Grand Sceau de la Confederation Suisse avec le costume des huissiers des 22 Cantons.'
2) Title-vignette with a farmer in a meadow with two goats, playing the alpenhorn, a cottage in the background
