- According to Lonchamp, this series was first published in 1830. The complete set in the Lloyd collection is printed on Whatman paper dated 1836. However, the suggestion of Lonchamp is convincing because a preserved album with drawings and watercolours by Fussli including the preparatory drawings for this series is titled 'Meine Zeichnungen von 1796 bis und mit 1828' (Kunsthaus Zurich).
