A girl dressed in Swiss costume stands beside a fountain to her left on which is carved a ram's head and a shell; behind her and to the right is a water pump; beyond this is a clock tower with a tall spire; a line of terraced buildings runs diagonally from the foreground into the right hand background behind her; she carries a tray with two bottles and three glasses on it; she wears a red and white striped skirt with a white chemise, black and yellow corset and cream bonnet.
