This drawing records a painting that Claude made for an unspecified patron in Paris circa 1641. The painting is apparently now in the Dulwich Art Gallery (see Roethlisberger 1961, no. 58, where gives the inventory number as 320). There are minimal differences between the painting and the drawing, making it among the most accurate records Claude made in his Liber (for discussion see 1957,1214.6).
