Curator's comments: See Curatorial comment for BM 1957-12-14-207.1. Traces of pen and brown ink from the verso show through on the recto. Jaffé suggests that that the sketches on the verso are either directly after Titian, or inspired by him. He relates them to Titian's painting 'Amor at the Window' now at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Vienna; and Titian's painting 'Virgin and Child with St John and a Donor' now at the Alte Pinakothek, Munich, inv.no.977.
