The recto sketches are after the four male spectators at the left of Titian's fresco 'The miracle of St Anthony bringing speech to the newborn babe' at the Scuola del Santo, Padua.
The top verso sketch is after Raphael's painting now at the Palazzo Pitti, Florence. The lower verso sketch is after Titian's painting of a Venetian admiral (? Francesco Duodo) known in a version in a private collection in Milan.
