- Curator's comments
- From a series of 21 (a title and 20 plates) representing various French châteaux and gardens, engraved by Silvestre, Marot, Della Bella and the Perelle after Silvestre, and published by Henriet in 1654.
Faucheux attributes this plate to A. Perelle (Faucheux cat. No.63.18) and later in the same volume to Nicolas Perelle (Faucheux cat. 289.9). As Adam was born in 1640 and the set was published in 1654, the attribution to Nicolas is more plausible.
The print is nonetheless kept with the other topographical etching of the Perelle family.
