- According to the report to the Trustees dated 2 October 1956, six of the drawings came from the collection of Baron Horace de Landau in Florence, and the remaining seven from that of
the late Ferruccio Asta of Venice. But the report gives no clue as to which were which.
This item has an uncertain or incomplete provenance for the years 1933-45. The British Museum welcomes information and assistance in the investigation and clarification of the provenance of all works during that era.
