Study for the two figures standing on the left in the composition of 1953,1212.8. They may be identified as admiral Jacopo Inghirami, who was a member of the Order of S. Stefano, and his 'aide de camp'.
1953,1212.9 is almost certainly by the same hand as the preceding drawing with which it is closely connected; both are probably by an assistant of Poccetti.
On the verso the outline of the upper part of the left-hand figure has been crudely drawn over by another hand with black chalk.
