- Acquired as attributed to Parmigianino. Now thought to be Italian XVIIc.
The first of these fragmentary drawings formed part of the album containing mostly drawings by Parmigianino acquired in 1905 (see p. 37), but it is clearly not by him though it does seem to be Parmese. The second is almost certainly by the same hand. It is impossible to arrive at any satisfactory conclusion about scraps of this character, unless by some lucky chance they can be related to a painting. It is possible, however, that these two putti might be by Anselmi.
