- Dodgson noted that only two or three proofs exist; another was with Colnaghi from the estate of C.H.Shannon in Dcember 1937. It was no.24 in the First Exhibition of Original Wood-Engraving held at the Dutch Gallery at 14 Brook Street in 1898, under the title 'A portrait (chiaroscuro)'.
