An album containing 101 illustrations to Walter Scott works after Turner, divided in 5 parts: 1-24 the complete set of proofs from 'The Poetical Works of Walter Scott' (Edinburgh: Robert Cadell, 1833-4); 26-65 the complete set of proofs from 'Scott's Prose Work' (Edinburgh: Robert Cadell, 1834-36); 67-72 the complete set of proofs from 'Illustrations to Waverley Novels' (London: Fisher, son & Co 1836-37); 74-80 the complete set of proofs from 'Milton's Poetical Works' (London: Macrone 1835); 82-101 the complete set of proofs from 'Campbell's Poetical Works' (1837); including a title-page for each part, the text framed by an ornamental border. Bound in leather with gilt-tooled border and lettering on the spine. Engraving and etching printed on chine collé, hand-colouring and graphite
