- Curator's comments
- Placed as anon School of Parma XVIc in March 1969.
This collocation in the same pendentive of an Evangelist and a bishop, presumably one of the four Doctors of the Church, must have been suggested by Correggio's pendentives in S. Giovanni Evangelista, Parma. Correggio's influence is also apparent in the arrangement of the figures. The drawing appears to be by an artist working in Parma in the second half of the sixteenth century.
